Pemba Chhewang Tamang came second in the men's category and Shulav Rai came third. Manisha Budha Magar came second and Rabika Maharjan came third in the women's category. The second placer received Rs 20,000 and the third placer received Rs 10,000 each.
Gear partner Peliot Nepal has provided sports equipment worth about Rs 100,000 to the top three players in both the men's and women's categories.
35 players competed in the men's category and 7 players in the women's category in the one-day competition held at the Kathmandu Sports Climbing Center.
8 players were selected in the final round from the qualification round in the men's category. The winner was decided by the competition of the selected 8 players.
Last year, NCSA organized the National Sport Climbing Championship after a gap of 6 years. The association has announced that it will continue this year by organizing the National Championship in the bouldering genre.
NCSA President Ramesh Poudel informed that a national competition will be held every year by making an annual program calendar in the coming days.
He said that there is great potential for climbing sport in Nepal and the number of players in the National Championship has increased this year and there will be an opportunity for new players to play in the National Championship in the coming days.
The winning players were awarded by Nepal Olympic Committee Joint Secretary General Ramji Bahadur Shrestha, NCSA President Ramesh Poudel and others.
