The title of ‘Pritanpati Trophy-2083’ organized by the Nepal Army’s North West Pritana Headquarters has been won by Shri No. 4 Bahini Adda. Shri No. 4 Bahini Adda emerged as the winner by performing excellently in various sports categories in the competition held in Birendranagar, Surkhet from 20 to 29 Jestha.
The competition organized with the slogan ‘Sports for Health, Sports for the Nation’ featured eight categories including football, volleyball, basketball, athletics, taekwondo, judo, boxing and swimming.
Shri Kali Bahadur Gana emerged as the winner in volleyball and basketball while Shri Bajradal Gana won the title in football. The Pritanapati of West Pritana, Lieutenant Dipesh Jung Shah, said that Kali Bahadur Gana was declared the best Gana in the entire competition. Medals, certificates and trophies were awarded to the best players and officials. The competition has made a significant contribution to the development of discipline, unity and competitive spirit within the military organization, said Pritanapathi Shah. The players and teams selected from the competition will be eligible to participate in the upcoming 'Pradhan Senapati Trophy-2083'. The Nepal Army has been promoting sports as an important basis for military discipline, leadership development, physical capacity enhancement and organizational strengthening, said Assistant Lieutenant Sarad Lamichhane, Battalion Chief of Shree No. 4 Battalion Headquarters.
