Minister for Infrastructure Development Sunil Lamsal has said that an international cricket stadium with floodlights and a multipurpose indoor hall will be constructed at FAPLA in Dhangadhi, Kailali.
While monitoring and inspecting the FAPLA International Cricket Stadium and Sports Village project on Friday, Minister Lamsal said that since the budget has been allocated for the construction of the structure, the construction will now be moved forward.
The government has allocated budget to take FAPLA to the contracting process in the budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2083/84. 'Its construction work will be moved forward by inviting tenders in the upcoming fiscal year,' he said. Minister Lamsal said that the government is committed to completing the project related to national pride and the prosperity of the Far West on time.

Initial preparations for the Fapla International Cricket Stadium and Sports Village project, spread over an area of about 260,919 square meters in Fapla, Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City-3, have been completed. Chairman Shahi said that land acquisition, preparation of a detailed project report (DPR) and environmental impact assessment (EIA) for the project have been approved.
