Chitwan Rhinos have retained a total of 7 players, including marquee Kushal Malla, for the upcoming Nepal Premier League (NPL) cricket. Chitwan, which finished fourth in the first season of the NPL, could only win 2 out of 7 matches in the second season.
Chitwan Rhinos announced on Friday that they have retained Kushal, Rijan Dhakal, Kamal Singh Airi, Dev Khanal, Arjun Saud, Deepak Bohra and Ranjit Kumar. Chitwan has released Amar Singh Rautela, Gautam KC, Bipin Rawal, Bipin Acharya and Saugata Dhakal.
Last season, Chitwan played English players Ravi Bopara, David Malan, Saif Zaib, George Scrimshaw, Pakistan's Sohail Tanvir, and Uganda's Alpheus Ramjani.
‘These players made significant contributions to the team’s performance and development in the previous season. This group, which has an excellent combination of national team experience, established performance in domestic cricket and young talent, is seen as the main foundation for building the team for the upcoming season,’ Chitwan said in a statement about the players it ‘retained’.
