The National Sport Climbing Championship, organized by the Nepal Climbing Sport Association, is scheduled to be held on 30th Jestha.

The competition will be held at the Kathmandu Sport Climbing Center in Kaladhara Thamel.

Through a press conference on Tuesday, the Climbing Sport Association has been conducting various competitions and programs for the development and promotion of adventure sports and sports tourism, including sport climbing, in Nepal.

The competition will be held in two phases, including qualification and final rounds. Since it will be held only in the bouldering category, the competition will last for one day. Since it is a national competition, interested players aged 17 or above, representing all seven provinces, can participate.

The association's president, Ramesh Poudel, said that the qualification and final round competitions will be held for both men and women. From the qualification round, 8 players each for men and women will be selected for the final round. The winners of both women and men will receive 30,000, the second place winner will receive 20,000, and the third place winner will receive 10,000. Poudel said that the main objective of the competition is to develop and promote the climbing sport by keeping the morale of players, coaches, technicians and people involved in the adventure sports sector high.
