Alexander Zverev won the French Open 2026 title on Sunday, beating Italy's Flavio Cobolli in a dramatic five-set victory. It was his first Grand Slam title.
The second-seeded German won 6-1, 4-6, 6-4, 6-7, 6-1 in the final at Roland Garros in a four-hour, 16-minute match. He became the first German to win a Grand Slam since Boris Becker.
This was Zverev's fourth Grand Slam final and he had come close to winning three previous titles but lost. Cobolli, the 10th seed, was playing in a Grand Slam final for the first time.
