Taekwondo player Abhishek Baral of Nepal has been selected for the 20th Asian Games to be held in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan. Abhishek was selected through a wild card in the men's under 80 kg category, according to the Nepal Taekwondo Association.
Abhishek competed in the 27th Asian Taekwondo Championship held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia from May 21 to 24. Including Abhishek, 7 players, 3 men and 4 women, participated from Nepal in the competition. The association has stated that the process is underway for the participation of other players through 'wild cards' in the Asian Games.
