Hong Kong has set a target of 189 runs for Nepal in the final of the Asian Games Men's Twenty20 Qualifiers. In the final match of the tournament being held in Singapore, Nepal won the toss and invited to bat, Hong Kong scored 188 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.

Opener Anshuman Rath top-scored for Hong Kong at the Singha Oval ground with 80 runs. He hit 6 fours and a six in 45 balls. Hong Kong had already scored 156 runs when Rath was dismissed in the 16th over. His opening partner Nizakat Khan was dismissed by Sher Malla for 2 runs.

Despite former captain Babar Hayat being out for a duck, Rath shared a partnership of 48 runs for the third wicket with Shiva Mathur and 84 runs for the fifth wicket with Shahid Wasif in 39 balls. Wasif scored 55 runs off 28 balls, hitting 7 fours and 3 sixes.

This is Nepal captain Deependra Singh Airi's 100th match in Twenty20 Internationals. He could not take any wickets despite spending only 28 runs in 4 overs.

Nepal had defeated Oman by 8 wickets in the semi-finals and Hong Kong defeated Malaysia by 6 wickets. Nepal had reached the semi-finals by defeating China by 221 runs and Malaysia by 167 runs in the group stage.

With Nepal reaching the semifinals, it had already qualified for the Asian Games to be held in Nagoya, Japan in September-October.
