Marvelous defeated Golden Peak by a score of 53-42 in the boys' final held on Sunday at the court of the host Tejeswi Academy. Sinep Shahi of Marvelous scored 17 points. Newton came third.
In the girls' final, Valley Public defeated Eden Bridge Academy (EBA) by a score of 32-29. Valley's Drishti Gurung scored 17. Ferriland came third.
Roshan Kushwaha of Marvelous in the boys' final and Drishti Gurung of Valley Public in the girls' final were declared the 'Most Valuable Players'. Mixon Tamang of Newton in the boys' and Khushbu Magar of Ferryland in the girls' were selected as the best 'three pointer'. Sushil Giri of Golden Peak in the boys' and Menuka Magar of EBA in the girls' became the highest scorers of the competition.
Aruni Academy in the boys' and KGS in the girls' became the disciplined team. Gyan Sanskar School in the boys' and KMC School in the girls' emerged as the emerging team.
The winners were awarded by Nepal Basketball Association General Secretary Narendra Thapa, Tejaswi's Principal Thir Bahadur Basnet and Vice Principal Bishwa Pandey. On the same occasion, Rojan Shrestha and Arpan Gurung, who scored 4 GPA in SEE from Tejaswi, were given laptops as an incentive. 100% of students from Tejaswi passed SEE. Students and teachers were also honored with a token of love along with cash prizes.
Tejaswi's basketball coach Dipesh Karki said that 31 teams in the boys' and 17 in the girls' competitions competed on a league-cum-knockout basis.
