Nepali national team player Bimala BK underwent surgery on Saturday.

The surgery was performed at Manipal Hospital in Goa. She was injured in the semi-final of the Women's SAFF Championship 2026 against Bangladesh on Wednesday. During that, her nose bone and tube were broken . Bimala underwent surgery on the advice of doctors from the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).

According to All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) spokesperson and team manager Suresh Shah, she will remain in Goa for at least a week and her health condition will be further monitored during that time. Due to the injury, she will be away from active football for at least three months.
