Soon after the start of the second half, Sanfida scored a goal from Pyari's pass and India was back in the lead. Linda scored the third goal for India in the 84th minute of the game, and with that, India's victory was assured.

India also defeated Bangladesh 3-0 in the group stage. In the semi-finals, India defeated Bhutan and Bangladesh defeated Nepal.

India, which had won the title consecutively from the first to the fifth edition, is now the winner in the ninth edition.
