Nepal's Baghbhairav ​​Dojo won the 18th Indo-Nepal Open Karate Championship on Saturday. Baghbhairav ​​emerged as the overall team champion with 7 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze medals.

The Indian team came second in the competition held at the host Texas College with 6 gold, 7 silver and 23 bronze medals. Nepal's Thaiba Dojo, which was in third place, won 4 gold and 1 bronze.

Roshan Khatri of Araniko Dojo and Ayushma Magar of Children's Model Mavi were selected as the best players in the men's category and Ayushma Magar of Children's Model Mavi among the women's categories in the competition held with the technical support of the Nepal Gojukai Karate Do Association.

Kathmandu Metropolitan City Spokesperson Navin Manandhar, Executive Chairman of the host Texas, Bheshraj Pokharel and others presented awards to the winners. Kathmandu Metropolitan City Ward 7 Chairman Bimal Kumar Hoda and social worker Sunil Shahi were honored on the occasion.

232 players from Nepal and 22 from India competed in 22 events in the two-day competition.
