Eighth-seeded Russian Mira Andreeva won the 2026 French Open title on Saturday, defeating qualifier Maja Chavlinski in straight sets.

Andreeva won her first Grand Slam title by defeating Polish 114th seed Chavlinski 6-3, 6-2 in the final at Roland Garros. This is also the first time she has reached the final of a Grand Slam tournament.

In the process, 19-year-old Andreeva also became the youngest player to win the French Open since 1992. Monica Seles won the title in 1992 at the age of 18.
