In the 3rd Asian E-Learning ‘Jayakumar Nath Shah Memorial U-16 Inter-School Cricket Tournament, Api and KMC School won their second consecutive victory on Thursday.
Both managed to reach the quarterfinals. Sanskriti, Wisdom and Aksharika Schools also won on Thursday. KMC defeated Galaxy Public School by 62 runs at the Upper Mulpani Cricket Ground. Galaxy, which was set a target of 186 runs, was bowled out for 123 runs in 19.3 overs. Khushvendra Sah scored 52 and Vaibhav Narayan Sah scored an unbeaten 30 runs. KMC’s Khushvendra Sah took 3 wickets while Bidhan Luintel and Amit Kumar Das took 2 wickets each. Vidhan was declared the ‘Player of the Match’.
At the same ground, Appele defeated Gyan Mandir by 191 runs. Appele scored a huge total of 265 runs in 20 overs for the loss of 3 wickets. Kusum Prasad scored 120 runs in 67 balls and Yugant Karki scored 82 runs in 35 balls. In reply, Gyan Mandir was bowled out for 74 runs in 18 overs. Vishal Budha and Kusum Prasad of Appele took 2 wickets each. Kusum was declared the Player of the Match. 
Wisdom Academy defeated Clinton School by 41 runs at the Tallo Mulpani Cricket Ground. Wisdom scored 98 runs for the loss of 10 wickets in 20 overs. Clinton was all out for 57 runs. Ayush Thapa became the Player of the Match by taking 7 wickets.
At the same ground, Sanskriti defeated Akshara School by 5 wickets. Chasing a target of 115 runs set by Akshara, Sanskriti achieved it in 18.2 overs, losing 5 wickets. Gevanshjung Lamichhane played an unbeaten innings of 64 runs. He was named player of the match.
Akshara defeated Liverpool by 37 runs at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground, Kirtipur. Liverpool were bowled out for 100 runs in 18.3 overs after being set a target of 138 runs by Akshara. Akshara Aryan Shah became player of the match. The match between The Celebration Co-educational School and Peak Point Academy at the same ground was called off due to rain. Both teams shared 1-1 points.
The ‘Player of the Match’ of all the matches was awarded Rs 1500 each by Peak Point, the organiser Kathmandu District Cricket Association has informed.
