Kathmandu Vidyakunj (KVKSS) and Ferryland have reached the semifinals of the girls' section of the second Tejaswi Cup inter-school basketball tournament.

KVKSS defeated Belmont by a score of 19-13 on Thursday. KVKSS' Khushi Mifok scored 12 points. Ferryland defeated host Tejaswi Academy by a score of 21-15. Ferryland's Renuka Tamang scored 8 points.

In the girls' section, Eden Bridge Academy (EBA) defeated Sanskriti Shiksha Sadan by 20-12 and Valley Public defeated Bagmati by 25-17 to secure a place in the semifinals. EBA's Anamika Patel and Menuka Magar tied 6-6 and Valley Public's Drishti Gurung scored 9 points.

In the boys' category, Navodit defeated TIA 34-25, Golden Peak defeated Kathmandu Valley School 44-32, Newton defeated Valley Public 49-41, and Marvelous defeated Gandaki 37-30 to secure a place in the semifinals. Navodit's Samyojan Hamal scored 19, Golden Peak's Sushil Giri scored 12, Newton's Unique Karki scored 21, and Marvelous' Sinep Shahi scored 17. The semifinals will be between Marvelous and Navodit, and Newton and Golden Peak.
