Teams from all seven provinces will participate in the tournament, which will be held from Jestha 22 to Asar 1, organized by the Nepal Cricket Association (CAN) and the Karnali Province Cricket Association.
The tournament is expected to be an important basis for selecting the Nepali team for the ICC U-19 Women's World Cup to be held in 2027, the organizers have said. It is believed that this will provide an opportunity for talented female cricketers from across the country to showcase their abilities and will help establish Karnali as a center for national sports activities.
At a press conference held on Wednesday, Karnali Province Cricket Association Treasurer Padam Bahadur Khadka informed that preparations for the tournament have reached the final stage. He said that the necessary management work including the playing field, accommodation, transportation, security and health services has been almost completed.
