Kavita Kunwar took 9 wickets in 3 overs, Riya Sharma took 6 wickets in 3 overs and Pooja Mahato took 1 wicket each, giving away 21 runs in 2 overs. Nepal had run out four Qatari batters.
Nepal achieved the target in 10.5 overs. . Even though Samjhana Khadka was out for 3 runs, another opener Bindu Rawal scored the highest 33 runs. She hit 4 fours in 30 balls. Vice-captain Pooja Mahato scored 28 and captain Indu Verma remained unbeaten on 6 runs. Pooja hit 4 fours in 26 balls and Indu hit 1 four in 6 balls.
Nepal and Qatar are in Group 'D' along with Hong Kong and Bhutan. Nepal will play Bhutan on Thursday. Group 'A' includes Thailand, Bahrain, Mongolia, Myanmar, Group 'B' includes China, Oman, Saudi Arabia, UAE and Group 'C' includes Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and Kuwait.

Nepal, which lost to Malaysia by 2 wickets in the semi-finals, was defeated by China by 5 wickets in the third-place match. This was Nepal's third defeat to China.
