Bangladesh defeated Nepal 2-1 to enter the final of the Women's SAFF Championship on Wednesday. This is the third consecutive time that two-time defending champion Bangladesh has reached the final of the tournament.

Bangladesh came back from a goal down in the second half to win after Sagarika scored in the extra time. Sagarika scored when the game was heading into extra time.

Ritu Pornachakma equalized for Bangladesh in the injury time of the second half. Nepal took the lead through Geeta Rana's goal but could not maintain it. Geeta scored in the 23rd minute of the match at the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.

Geeta directed the ball towards the post after the Bangladeshi defense failed to clear Deepa Shahi's corner. Nepal missed out on taking the lead in the 36th minute when Preeti Rai's shot hit the post.

Similarly, in the 42nd minute, Rekha Poudel's header went just wide of the post. Rekha's shot hit the post in the second minute of the second half. Similarly, in the 78th minute, Nepali goalkeeper Anjali Subba made an excellent save against Sagarika's powerful shot.
