The Nepal Adventure Running Federation is organizing the Ramaroshan Sky Run in Achham, Sudurpaschim on Ashar 3.

The federation gave information about the Sky Run through a press conference on Tuesday. The race will be held in the famous tourist and natural heritage-rich Ramaroshan area.

The 28-kilometer race will be held at an altitude of 2,050 meters to 3,850 meters above sea level. There will be competition in the sky race in both men's and women's categories. A 5-kilometer community run will also be held to encourage local youth, informed the president of the organizing federation, Ekendra Kunwar. The race will start from Ramekhand, pass through Jingale Lake, Lamadaha Lake, Roshan Patan, pass through places such as Chakhatop and Kinimini Patan at an altitude of 3,820 meters, and end in Ramekhand. He said that arrangements have been made at 6 water points and 6 check points for the safety and convenience of the athletes. It is said that 100 people will compete in the race.

The winner of both the male and female categories will receive Rs 100,000, the second place winner Rs 75,000 and the third place winner Rs 50,000. Cash prizes will also be awarded to the top 10 runners. The top three winners of both the 5 km community race will receive Rs 20,000, 15,000 and 10,000 respectively. Registration for the competition has started from Tuesday and the first 30 people to register will be provided with free transportation from Kathmandu-Rama Roshan-Kathmandu, informed Vice President Rajan Khatri.

All participants will be provided with accommodation, food and transportation facilities from the designated location within Achham in Rama Roshan. The competition is being held in collaboration with the Sudurpaschim Province Sports Council, the Sudurpaschim Province Ministry of Social Development, Rama Roshan Rural Municipality and Sanfebagar Municipality. The main objective of the race is to promote adventure sports, the natural beauty of the Far West, tourism, and local culture at the national and international levels, according to the organizers.
