Nepali men's cricket team has qualified for the Asian Games. After Malaysia defeated China by 9 wickets on Tuesday in the ongoing Asian Games men's cricket qualification tournament in Singapore, Nepal has qualified for the Asian Games to be held in Aichi/Nagoya, Japan in October.
Batting first, China could only score 84 runs for the loss of 9 wickets, but in reply, Malaysia scored the required runs within 8 overs. Nepal and Malaysia are tied 2-2 in Group 'A'. China lost both matches. Nepal defeated China by 221 runs on Sunday with Kushal Bhurtel's 129 runs.
Nepal will play Malaysia on Thursday. The team that wins this match will be the winner of Group 'A'. The top four teams in the Asian Games men's cricket qualification tournament will qualify for the Asian Games. Group 'B' Hong Kong and Oman have won their matches against Singapore and Bahrain.
