Parsa has won its first victory in the ongoing Madhesh Province-level U-19 and Senior Women's Selection T-20 cricket match in Rajbiraj, Saptari on Sunday with a brilliant half-century from national player Shana Parbin.

Parsa defeated Bara by 24 runs in the match held at the Public Bindeshwari Secondary School ground.

Parsa won the toss and elected to bat in the match organized by the Saptari Cricket Association and scored a total of 117 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Parbin and Shivani Sah shared a 76-run partnership in Parsa's innings, with Parbin scoring a brilliant innings of 51 runs while Sah scored 26 runs.

On the bowling front, Bara's Priyanka Yadav took 2 wickets and Pratima Sah, Nirmala Kushwaha and Binisha Lamichhane took 1 wicket each. Chasing the target, Bara were bundled out for 93 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Pratima Sah played a struggling innings of 41 runs for Bara, but it was not enough to win the team.

Bara's middle order was under pressure after national player Alisa Yadav was run out for 18 runs. Other batters could not reach double figures. Parsa's Sohna Khatun and Shriska Basnet took 2/2 and Prayagya Chhetri took 1 wicket. Parbin, who was declared the 'Player of the Match' for her outstanding performance, was awarded a trophy and a cash prize of Rs 1,000 by the association's secretary Chandan Kumar Yadav.
