The third edition of the Asian E-Learning Jayakumar Nath Shah Memorial U-16 Inter-School Cricket Tournament is scheduled to be held from 19 Jestha.

The competition organized by the Kathmandu District Cricket Association will continue till 25 Jestha at the Lower Mulpani, Upper Mulpani and Kirtipur Tribhuvan University grounds. Kathmandu District Cricket Association President Diwakar Ghale informed that the 24 schools participating in the tournament have been divided into 8 groups.

Group ‘A’ includes DAV, Nexus Academy, Radiant Readers, Group ‘B’ includes Sainik Awasiya, Triyoga and Creative Academy, Group ‘C’ includes Galaxy Public, Himalayan White House and KMC and Group ‘D’ includes Angels Heart, Gyan Mandir and Api School.

Group ‘E’ includes Mokshada, Wisdom and Clinton School, Group ‘F’ includes Ratna Rajya Secondary School, Akshara and Sanskriti, Group ‘G’ includes James, Aksharika and Liverpool, and Group ‘H’ includes Police School, The Celebration and Pick Point.

The top teams from all groups will advance to the quarterfinals. The winner will receive Rs 150,000 and the runner-up Rs 75,000, informed Kathmandu District Cricket Association Secretary Kiran Rana. Technical Director Ravindra Gupta said that the game will be played in T-20 format. The player of the match of each match will be given cash from Pick Point and attractive gifts will be given by the locker room to the best player in each category.

On the same occasion, a sponsorship agreement was signed between Director Meena Tripathi Limbu and District Cricket Association President Ghale on behalf of the sponsor Asian E-Learning Center, and between Hana Gurung, Head of Brand and Market Management of E-Sewa, and Ghale. The trophy was unveiled on the same occasion.
