Dinesh Kumar Yadav has come first in the open running competition organized on the occasion of Republic Day. Yadav from Rupandehi came first in the five-kilometer running competition organized by the District Sports Development Committee, Makawanpur on Thursday. Yadav won the title by completing the race in 14 minutes and 36 seconds. Similarly, Ajay Pandey Chhetri from Kapilvastu, who completed the race in 14 minutes and 56 seconds, came second, and Anand Yogi from Nuwakot, who completed the race in 15 minutes and 34 seconds, came third. Yadav, who came first in the competition, received a prize of Rs 30,000. Similarly, the second and third place winners received a shield and certificate along with Rs 20,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively. 68 players participated in the competition. Geeta Kumari Humagain, Secretary, Ministry of Youth and Sports, Bagmati Province Government, awarded the winning players.
