Nepali mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Ravindra Dhant achieved a historic victory on Thursday. He defeated Kimbert Alintozon of the Philippines in the bantamweight group quarterfinals of Road to UFC Season Five held in Macau.

He will now compete against New Zealander Kasib Murdoch in the semifinals. Murdoch reached the semifinals by defeating Japan's Yonosuke Minami.

Ravindra won by technical knockout in the second round. The fight took place at the Galaxy Arena in Macau and after some initial struggles, Ravindra dominated his opponent.
