Nepali women's cricket team defeated Indonesia by 4 wickets in the Asian Games Women's Qualifiers on Thursday after captain Indu Burma scored an unbeaten 42 runs. Nepal became the winner of Group 'B' after winning its second consecutive match. Nepal will face hosts Malaysia in the semi-finals. The winner of Group 'A' will face Thailand and China in the other semi-final. The top 3 teams will qualify for the Asian Games to be held in Nagoya, Japan in October. Nepal defeated China by 19 runs in its first match on Wednesday in the ongoing competition in Malaysia. China had earlier defeated Indonesia by 7 wickets in the first day's match of the tournament. Nepal achieved the target of 114 runs with 3 balls to spare thanks to Indu's contribution. Indu remained unbeaten on 42 runs in 43 balls with 5 fours. Nepal did not have a good start. Openers Samjhana Khadka and Pooja Mahato were dismissed for 1 and 9 runs respectively. Ruby Podar failed to open her account. Indu and Soni Pakhrin shared a 45-run partnership for the fourth wicket.
