The pair of golfers Sadbhav Acharya and Rahul Vishwakarma (Nepal A) have won the gold medal in the team event of the 12th Nepal International Amateur Golf Championship.

The defending champions defeated India's Tarun Sardesai Academy by 19 strokes with a best score of 13-under 275. The Indian pair of Prince Bainsala and Bhivan Uvayakar secured the second place with a score of 6-over 294. The third-placed Sri Lankan team (K Danusa and Chanaka Perera) scored 8-over 296. Bhutan was fourth, Bangladesh fifth and Nepal 'B' sixth.  

In the men's individual event, Nepal's Sadbhav Acharya is at the top of the list with a bogey-free 6-under 66 and an overall score of 9-under 135. He has beaten Rahul Vishwakarma by 5 strokes. Rahul carded a 5-under 67 on Thursday to finish second with an overall score of 4-under 140. India's Bhivan Uvayakar is third overall with a score of 3-under 141. He finished with a 3-under 69 on Thursday.

India's Nikhil Pandey is fourth overall with a score of 2-under 142. He carded a 1-over 73. Sri Lanka's K Danusa is fifth with a score of 4-over 76. Bhutan's Dechen Lendup is sixth overall with a score of 2-over 74 for a score of 2-over 146.  

India's Nilofar Shivamurthy, Nepal's Tenzing Tshering and Norbu Tshering Sherpa and Bangladesh's Mohammad Sharif are tied for seventh overall with a score of 3-over 147. 

Sadbhav, who had a bogey-free scorecard, finished both the front and back nine at 3-under 33. He birdied the first, third and fifth holes. He then saved shots at the 12th, 15th and 18th holes.

In the women's category, Tara Karki Chitrakar topped the standings with a 13-over 157. She shot a 9-over 81 on Thursday. She trailed Samjhana Khatri by 14 strokes with the last 18 holes remaining.

Samjhana is in second place with a 27-over 271. Avani Rai is in third place with a 30-over 174. In the women's category, India's Nayonika Kapoor and Nepal's Sushma Sigdel and Angela Yonjan also made the cut.

In the U-17 category, India's Bhivan Uvaykar has a six-stroke lead with a 3-under 141. India's Nilofar Shivamurthy is in second place with a 3-over 147. India's Prince Bansala finished third with a score of 9-over 153.
