Kathmandu's Annex Maharjan and Bipana Tamang have won gold in the 16th President's Running Shield Bagmati Province-level Wushu competition. Annex won the men's Tai Chi Chuan and Bipana won the women's Tai Chi Chuan.

The competition, inaugurated by Bagmati Province Chief Minister Indra Bahadur Baniya, includes 6 sports including Wushu, athletics, volleyball, karate, taekwondo and kabaddi. It is said that players from Bagmati will be selected from this competition for the 16th Central President's Running Shield to be held in Kathmandu on 20-22 Jestha.
