The trophy for the 42nd National Table Tennis Championship organized by the All Nepal Table Tennis Association was unveiled on Wednesday.

The trophy to be awarded to the winner of the main category men's/women's singles was unveiled in the presence of the organizing association's president Brijendra Bahadur Hamal, general secretary Kuber Prakash Singh and other office bearers.

According to the association's treasurer Jacky Maharjan, the trophy was prepared by famous sculptor Surendra Shakya. He said that the trophy was prepared to reflect the identity of Nepali art and culture.

The National Table Tennis Championship is starting on Thursday at the National Table Tennis Training Center in Lainchaur. The competition will feature 11 events in senior, junior and cadet categories. The senior category will feature men's/women's singles doubles and team and mixed doubles. The junior U-19 and cadet U-15 categories will feature boys/girls singles.

10 teams from all seven provinces and three departmental teams (Nepal Police, Army and APF) will participate in the competition. The organizers have stated that all preparations for the competition, in which 116 players will participate, have been completed.
