The 12th Nepal International Amateur Golf Championship will begin at the Gokarna Golf Club on Wednesday. The Nepal Golf Association has stated that five countries, including Nepal, India, Bangladesh, Bhutan and Sri Lanka, will participate in the three-day 54-hole competition. 54 players will participate. The competition, which is organized every year to mark the occasion of Mount Everest Day, has been recognized by R&D. For this reason, players will also receive points in the World Ranking (WAGR). There are a total of four events in the competition (men's individual and team and women's and junior). The team competition will be 36 holes. Six teams will participate in it. There will be two teams from Nepal in the team competition. Sadbhav Acharya and Rahul Bishwakarma will play for Nepal 'A' and Prakrit Tamang and Tenzing Tshering will play for Nepal 'B'. India's Tarun Sardesai Academy team, Bangladesh, Bhutan and Sri Lanka teams will also compete in the team competition.

In the men's category, there will be 8 players from India, 4 from Bhutan, 2 each from Bangladesh and  Sri Lanka, and the remaining players will be Nepali. In the women's category, there will be 8 players from Nepal, 1 each from India and Bhutan. In the junior category, players under 17 years of age will compete.
