Five athletes from Nepal will participate in the 22nd edition of the U-20 Asian Athletics Championships.
Three men and two women will participate in the competition to be held in Hong Kong from May 28-31. In the men's event, Badal Karki will compete in the 1500 and 3000 meters, and Praveen Rana in the 100 meters. In the women's event, Anushka Adhikari will compete in the 100 and 2000 meters, Narayani Bhandari in the 800 and 1500 meters, and Sangeeta Bik in the 400 and 800 meters. The eight-member Nepali team will leave for Hong Kong on Tuesday.
The coach is Ram Bahadur Oli, and the managers are Gaj Bahadur Gurung and Dil Bahadur Bam. National Sports Council Member-Secretary Ramcharitra Mehta bid farewell to the team on Monday.
