The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has classified 38 men and 25 women players for the year 2026, including ODI captain Rohit Poudel, Twenty20 captain Dipendra Singh Airi and Sandeep Lamichhane in the 'A Plus' category.

Rohit, Dipendra and Sandeep have been placed high in the classification. The 'A Plus' category is the first time that CAN has included players in the classification. Players in this category will receive a monthly salary of Rs 120,000. 'They have been placed in the 'A Plus' category based on their exceptional performance,' CAN spokesperson Chhumbi Lama told Kantipur.

Sompal Kami, Asif Sheikh, Kushal Bhurtel and Karan KC are in the 'A' category. They will receive a monthly salary of Rs 100,000. Lalit Narayan Rajbanshi, Arif Sheikh, Bhim Sarki, Nandan Yadav and Gulshan Jha are in the 'B' category and Sandeep Jora, Arjun Kumal, Kushal Malla, Sher Malla, Ishan Pandey, Bashir Ahmed, Lokesh Bam, Shahab Alam, Hemant Dhami, Binod Bhandari and Anil Sah are in the 'C' category. Those in the 'B' category will receive a monthly salary of 75 thousand and those in the 'C' category will receive a monthly salary of 55 thousand.

Tritraj Das, Rashid Khan, Santosh Yadav, Narayan Joshi, Bipin Khatri, Rijan Dhakal, Yubaraj Khatri, Dev Khanal, Pawan Saraf, Akash Chand, Deepak Dumre, Arjun Gharti, Arjun Saud, Pratish GC and Sagar Dhakal have been placed in the 'D' category, which is called the development team. CAN has stated that they will receive a monthly salary of 35 thousand.

CAN has stated that the players in the 'A' category of women will receive a monthly salary of Rs 55,000, the players in the 'B' category will receive Rs 40,000, the players in the 'C' category will receive Rs 30,000 and the players in the 'D' category will receive Rs 25,000.

Similarly, male and female players will receive a match fee of Rs 10,000 per match in Twenty20 Internationals and Rs 15,000 per match in One Day Internationals. The Nepali women's team has been playing Twenty20 Internationals but has not yet played an One Day International.
