Nepal narrowly defeated Bhutan 1-0 in a Group 'A' match at the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Goa, India.

Geeta Rana scored the only goal of the match in the first half. Her shot in the 24th minute was deflected by a Bhutanese player and converted into a goal. After this victory, Nepal managed to collect three points and take a step towards the semi-finals.

This is the sixth international match between Nepal and Bhutan. Nepal has managed to win five of them. Bhutan has not yet been able to score a goal against Nepal. In the last edition of the competition, Bhutan held Nepal to a goalless draw. Now Nepal will face Sri Lanka in the match to be held on Sunday.
