Western won the title by defeating Lumbini Khukuri Club Bhairahawa by 45 runs in the final match held at the Siddhartha Cricket Ground in Bhairahawa on Saturday.
This is the fourth time that Western has won the title. Western also won the Super League last season.
The title winner Western received a cash prize of Rs 101,010 and the runner-up Lumbini Khukuri received a cash prize of Rs 50,001.
After winning the toss, Western, who came in to bat, scored 182 runs in 48 overs and 2 balls in the stipulated 50 overs, losing all their wickets. For them, Dev Khanal scored 30, Dipesh Rokka 27, Sandesh Thapa 26, Sumit Newar 20, Ranjit Khatri 19, Prajwal Thapa 14, Kalam Ali Musalman 13, Abhishesh Gautam and Sagar Gaire scored 10 runs each.
In bowling, Lumbini Khukuri's Baitullah Khan took 3 wickets, Ajay Kumar Chauhan and Shah Alam took 2 wickets each, and Shankar Rana and Sujan Ranabhat took 1 wicket each.
In reply, Lumbini Khukuri scored 137 runs in 24 overs and were all out. Western's Abhishesh Gautam bowled 8 overs and took 36 runs including 2 wickets in 5 balls. Similarly, Sushib Thapa took 3 wickets. Khukuri's Sameer Ali Musalman scored 67 and Shankar Rana scored 47 runs. Abhishesh Gautam was awarded the Man of the Final.
Abhishesh Gautam of Western was awarded the Man of the Series in the competition and received Rs 15,000. Similarly, Bipin Acharya of Melbourne Cricket and Sporting Club was declared the Best Batsman, Ashok Dhami of Melbourne was the Best Bowler, and Sushik Thapa of Western was declared the Emerging Player. All three of them received Rs 5,000 each.
