Prakash Chandra Nepal of Damak has won the title of the Open National Intellectual Competition. Nepal has won the title in the competition held under the Third Great Khotang Halesi Sports, Literary and Tourism Festival on Wednesday.
Similarly, Rahul Gurung of Sikkim, India, and Thendup Tamang of Sikkim came in second and third place. The first, second, and third place winners received 25,000, 15,000, and 10,000 rupees, along with trophies, medals, and certificates, respectively.
Ngima Sherpa of Taplejung came in fourth and Sushant Dahal of Jhapa came in fifth. They received 8,000 and 7,000 rupees in cash, medals, and certificates, respectively. Kabindra Siwakoti of Dolakha came in sixth, Ridip KC of Diktel came in seventh, Umesh Rai of Biratnagar came in eighth, Major Rai of Halesi came in ninth, and Dhiren Rai of Buipa came in tenth. They each received 5,000 rupees in cash, medals, and certificates.
Khilraj Rai of Khotang has been declared the first in Koshi Province, while Haribhakta Rai of Nerpa has been declared the second. They have received 5,000 and 4,000 cash prizes, trophies, medals and certificates respectively. Bam Bahadur Rai of Jalpa, Khotang, came first, Gyan Bahadur Shrestha of Jalpa, Khotang, came second and Prabhuram Rai of Nerpa, Khotang, came third. They have received 4,000, 3,000 and 2,000 cash prizes, trophies, medals and certificates respectively. The game was organized in coordination with the Nepal Sports Academy and the Buddhichal Association of Khotang. 51 players participated in the competition.
