They defeated Melbourne Cricket and Sporting Club by 1 wicket to win. Despite the defeat, Melbourne has reached the semi-finals.
Melbourne, who won the toss and elected to bat at the Siddhartha Cricket Ground in Bhairahawa, scored a total of 90 runs in the stipulated 50 overs, losing all their wickets in 26 overs and 3 balls. To stop them cheaply, JR’s Vinay GC took 4 wickets, Anmol Shree Thapa took 3 wickets and Dinesh Bista took 2 wickets.
Melbourne’s Ashok Dhami scored 26, Aditya Yadav 24 and Asman Tharu 20 runs. Their 5 players returned to the pavilion without any runs.
In reply, JR scored 91 runs in 30 overs and lost 9 wickets. In their victory, Vishal Bhusal scored 27, Khadak Bohara 20 and Dal Bahadur Chhetri scored 19 not out.
Melbourne's Ashok Dhami and Bipin Acharya took 3 wickets each, while Ramji Kurmi took 2 and Arif Ahmed took 1 wicket. Vinay GC was awarded as the Player of the Match.
