The Nepali women's cricket team is set to play Indonesia and China in the group stage of the Asian Games Women's Qualifiers. The tournament is being held in Malaysia from May 23 to 31.

According to the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), Nepal is in Group 'B'. Nepal will play China on May 27 and Indonesia on May 28. Group 'A' includes Hong Kong, Malaysia and Thailand. The top two teams in the group will advance to the semi-finals. The winner will play in the final, while the team that loses in the semi-finals will play for third place.

CAN spokesperson Chumbi Lama said the top three teams from the tournament will be selected for the Asian Games to be held in Aichi/Nagoya, Japan in October. The 14-member Nepali cricket team, captained by Indu Burma, has left for Malaysia on Sunday. Nepal will also compete in the ACC Premier Cup to be held in Malaysia from June 1 to 13.

Before that, Nepal is scheduled to play two Twenty20 Internationals against Malaysia on Wednesday and Friday. Sita Rana Magar and Soni Pakhrin are making their comebacks to the Nepali team, while Seemana KC has made her debut.
