Melbourne Cricket and Sporting Club won the ‘A’ Division match of the ongoing Panchakanya Rupandehi Super League organized by the Rupandehi Cricket Association in Bhairahawa on Sunday. They defeated Buddha Cricket Club by 6 wickets. This is Melbourne’s second consecutive win in the competition.

Chasing a target of 158 runs, Melbourne scored 159 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 35 overs and 4 balls. Bipin Acharya played an unbeaten innings of 94 runs in their victory. Aditya Yadav contributed 23, Arman Tharu 20 and Ashok Dhami 19 runs.

Buddha’s Bipin Sharma, Dilsad Ali, Pravez Ansari and Amit Agrahari took 1 wicket each in the bowling.

Earlier, Buddha, who was invited to bat after losing the toss at the Siddhartha Cricket Ground in Bhairahawa, scored 157 runs in the scheduled 50-over match, losing all their wickets in 34 overs and 1 ball. For them, Mithilesh Yadav scored 56, Dilsad Ali scored 40, Suraj Poudel scored 29 and Bipin Sharma scored 11. 

In bowling, Melbourne's Ashok Dhami took 5 wickets, while Ramesh Kurmi, Bipin Acharya and Arif Khan took 1 wicket each. Bipin Acharya was named Player of the Match and awarded a cash prize.
