A six-member Nepali team left for Incheon, South Korea on Saturday to participate in the Yang Young Ja Table Tennis Mission (YTTA) International Training Camp to be held in Incheon, South Korea from May 16 to 26.

After the training camp, they will participate in the International Christian Table Tennis Competition to be held on May 27.

The players participating in the training camp and competition are Rivanmuni Bajracharya and Pragya Maharjan in U-13, Rijan Shakya and Surmya Shakya in U-16, and Himal Bista and Yongi Poudel in U-19. The team manager is Hann Ko, according to All Nepal Table Tennis Association Treasurer Jacky Maharjan.

The selection of players for this training camp was held at Nepal APM Club on October 5. The competition featured six categories, including boys and girls in the U-13, U-16, and U-19 age groups. Treasurer Maharjan informed that the winning players in each category have been selected for the training camp in South Korea.

The training camp will be attended by 25 players from Nepal, the Philippines, Laos and Mongolia.

The camp will be led by 1988 Olympic gold medalist Yang Yong-jae, a famous table tennis player from South Korea. The participating players will have the opportunity to receive direct training from her and her coaching team.

Yang Yong-jae has been actively supporting the development of Nepali table tennis for 7 years. She has conducted table tennis clinics in Nepal three times and has been continuously contributing to the development of Nepali young players at the international level. Treasurer Maharjan bid farewell to the team at the Tribhuvan International Airport on Saturday.
