Tandi Sporting Club Morang has won the first Kanyatar Gold Cup football title held at Kanyatar, Miklajung-6, Panchthar.

Tandi became the champion by defeating Rising Star Club 2-0 in the final on Friday. Padam Magar and Sudeep Khadka scored goals in Tandi's victory. Eight teams competed in the competition, which began on April 26.

The winner Tandi Sporting received Rs 111,111, while the runner-up Rising Star Club received Rs 55,555. Anil Rai of Tandi was declared the man of the match and received Rs 2,000. On the individual front, Osan Rai of Rising Star became the top scorer with 5 goals and received Rs 3,500. Sandeep Lingden of Tandi was named the best goalkeeper, Sudeep Khadka the best midfielder, Padam Magar the best forward and Paras Miwak Limbu the best player. Manish Chhetri of Rising Star was named the best defender. The category winners received Rs 3,500 each, while the best received Rs 5,500.
