Kalika Secondary School Pili has won the title of the inter-school cricket tournament held in Khadachak Municipality-5 Ratadab. Chulimalika Secondary School Ghodena has become the runner-up.
7 schools participated in the tournament organized with the coordination of the District Cricket Association Kalikot and the support of the Manma Bazaar Cricket Group. Pawan Bam, a member of the District Cricket Association Kalikot, said that the players were identified by organizing a school-level selection tournament.
The vacant wheat field of a local named Manarup Hamal in Khadachak-5 Ratadab in Kalikot, which lacked a playground, was used as a field. Hamal, the landowner, said that he provided the land because the youth wanted to play cricket after the wheat was harvested.
Lokesh Simkhada, a student of Kalika Secondary School Pili, who managed to take the most wickets, was declared the best bowler, while Prakash Khatri, a student of Chulimalika Secondary School Ghodena, who scored the most runs, was the best batsman.
Vivek Pandey, a student of Janajivan Secondary School, Tadi, said he was happy to participate in the first-ever inter-school cricket tournament organized in Kalikot. Players from Janajivan Secondary School, Tadi, Kalika Secondary School, Chhapre, Tilagufa, Panchadev Secondary School, Manma, Kalika Secondary School, Gela, Mahabai, and Panchakalika Secondary School, Bajhakot, Pachaljharana Rural Municipality, participated in the cricket match.
