The second national women's football tournament has started in Butwal on Saturday. Defending champion Trinity Club, Syangja, won the opening match. Trinity defeated Padya Sports Club, Okhaldhunga 1-0.

The goal scored by Baling in the first half became the decisive goal in the match held at Siddheshwor Sports Ground. Bhumika Budhathoki scored in the sixth minute of the match. Bhumika scored with one touch after Diksha Ranpal's ball from the right corner of the box.

Padma Club was awarded a penalty in the 20th minute of the very competitive first half. However, Poshani Bohora could not score.

Even though Padma Club made many post attacks in the match, Trinity Club goalkeeper Savitri Kisan did not give a chance. In the game, Trinity's goalkeeper Kisan also won 5,000 in cash through the play-of-the-match. Secretary Deepak Gurung said that a competition will be held between the organizers, Bis Pachahattar Youth Club, Butwal, and Abhishek Church, Nawalpur, on Sunday. The competition, organized by Bis Pachahattar Youth Family, was inaugurated by Butwal Sub-metropolitan City Chief Khelraj Pandey. The prize money of the competition has been increased this year. The winner of the competition will receive 250,000 rupees and the second team will receive 125,000 rupees. Similarly, the best player of the competition will be awarded 25,000 rupees and the best players of various categories will be awarded 10,000 rupees each. The player who is the player of the match in each game will receive 5,000 in cash.
