The trophy of Koshi Pride League Season-3 has been unveiled. Nepal Cricket Association (CAN) President Chatur Bahadur Chand unveiled the trophy on Saturday at the Dr. Khalil Azad Stadium in Bhokraha Narsingh Rural Municipality-4, Sunsari.
Nepal's premier domestic cricket league Koshi Pride League (KPL) Season-3 is set to start from Jestha 9. The trophy was unveiled during a program organized two weeks ago on Saturday.
The date of the T-20 tournament organized by Koshi Pride Pvt. Ltd. had been postponed for various reasons. The tournament approved by CAN was earlier scheduled to be held from Falgun 9 to 21, but it was postponed twice for various reasons.
At the program, CAN President Chand said that competitions like the Koshi Pride League provide a professional platform to players. He said that private sector investment, support from the local community and increasing attraction towards cricket are the main foundations for making such tournaments successful. Seven different franchise teams will compete in the competition. The participating teams have already signed 12 players from the auction. Each team has signed 3 to 6 players from the draft. Out of 232 players included in the auction, 84 players were sold. There were 34 in Category 'A', 95 in Category 'B' and 103 in Category 'C'.
