Aston Villa reached their first European final in 44 years on Thursday. They comfortably beat Nottingham Forest 4-0 in the second leg of their Europa League semi-final to take a 4-1 lead on aggregate. Forest took a 1-0 lead in the first leg but it was not enough. Villa will now face Freiburg of Germany in the title clash. Ollie Watkins and Emi Bendia scored a goal each for the English Premier League club at Villa Park. John McGinn also added two goals. Now Villa will have the opportunity to taste their first major success since the 1996 League Cup title. In the other semi-final, Freiburg beat Braga 3-1 to take a 4-3 lead on aggregate. Lucas Kubler scored twice for Freiburg.
