Bayern captain Manuel Neuer admitted his team failed to create decisive moments when they needed to after their Champions League semi-final exit at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). Bayern held PSG to a 1-1 draw in the second leg of their semi-final but trailed 6-5 on aggregate.

Bayern have scored 175 goals in all competitions this season but have failed to do so against PSG. Harry Kane's second-half stoppage-time goal was a consolation. "We didn't create enough chances today," Neuer said. "Maybe we did create a few chances, but they weren't decisive."

Neuer added, "This time we came close to the final, but we couldn't take another step forward. The one goal we did get back was only scored with a very few minutes to go. After that goal, we didn't have time to create any more chances. There was no time to do anything at that time.’ England captain Kane’s goal was possible in the fourth minute of injury time.

Bayern have already won the Bundesliga title this season and are also playing in the German Cup final. But Noah also admitted that being eliminated in the Champions League semi-finals was disappointing. He said, ‘We are very sad right now. We have to accept one fact: we have been stopped by an opponent who is very strong and excellent.’

‘Our performance in the coming days will have to be even more decisive. My congratulations to PSG. This season’s Champions League is now over for us. But there is still an opportunity to do better next season and that is why we have to be excited.’ Bayern have won the Champions League title six times so far and they last played in the final in 2020.
