The semi-final equation of the eighth edition of the Bagmati Gold Cup in Bagmati Rural Municipality, Makawanpur has been completed. In the match held on Tuesday at the Shahid Smriti Stadium in Bagmati Rural Municipality, Chitlang FC defeated Machhindra FC of Kathmandu by 1-0, thus deciding the team to play in the semi-finals of the competition.
Aaron Thapa's goal in the 86th minute was decisive in Chitlang's victory. Thapa was declared the Player of the Match. He received 10,000 rupees. Machhindra has been eliminated from the competition with the defeat. Machhindra is the winner of the sixth Bagmati Gold Cup and is also the runner-up team of the last edition. Chitlang, which has entered the semi-finals, will play against Nav Janajagruti Club of Simara on Thursday.
The semi-final matches of the competition will start from Wednesday. The first semi-final will be played between Friends Club, Lalitpur and Bagmati Youth Club, Sarlahi. The final match will be held on Baisakh 26. The winner of the competition will receive 1 million rupees and the runner-up will receive 5 million rupees. The best player of the competition will receive 101 thousand rupees and the best in each category will receive 25-25 thousand rupees. 10 teams have participated in the competition.
