The third edition of the Koshi Pride League (KPL) is set to start on Jestha 9. The date of the T-20 tournament organized by Koshi Pride Pvt. Ltd. was already fixed, but it was being postponed due to various reasons. The organizers announced the new date at a press conference in Kathmandu on Sunday. The

tournament has been approved by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN). Earlier, the tournament was scheduled to be held from Falgun 9 to 21. However, the tournament was postponed twice due to various reasons. Stating that the last time the tournament had to be postponed due to the impact of the ongoing war in the world, Afzal Hussain, director of the organizer Koshi Pride, said that now it will be held on the scheduled time. At the press conference, Everest Thunders, promoted by Akash Khadka, has brought in Silicon Education Network as the main sponsor. The agreement was signed by Khadka and Silicon Education Director Bibash Shamsher Kunwar.

Seven different franchise teams will compete in the competition. The participating teams have already signed 12 players from the auction. Each team has signed three to six players from the draft. Out of the 232 players included in the auction, 84 players were priced. There were 34 players in Category 'A', 95 in Category 'B' and 103 in Category 'C'. 

Everest Thunders brought national team players Karan KC, Sompal Kami, Yuvraj Khatri and Ranjit Kumar from the draft, while Narayan Joshi, Akash Tripathi, Dipendra Rawat, Roshan Bishwakarma, Pujan BK, Salahuddin Khan, Sahil Patel, Prajwal Thapa, Lokesh Joshi, Bholakumar Shah, Shivam Tiwari and Rabindra Mandal from the auction. 

Namuna Blasters, owned by Dharma Neupane, have taken national team players Nandan Yadav, Gaurav Katwal and Prakash Karki from the draft.  Similarly, from the auction are Amit Shrestha, Bipin Rawal, Kiran Kumar Thagunna, Dayanand Mandal, Bipin Acharya, Sandeep Dhungana, Prateek Shrestha, Abhishesh Gautam, Raju Bishwakarma, Prabhat Rai, Sachin Lekhak and Nitesh Kumar Yadav.

Kalpit Dhakal's Itahari Adarsh ​​Giants have signed Kushal Malla, Bhupal Luitel, Binod Bhandari, Dipesh Kandel and Rupesh Singh from the draft, while Arjun Kumal, Amar Singh Rautela, Yunish Bikram Singh Thakuri, Sunil Dhamala, Nar Bahadur Sarki, Sameer Karki, Ashutosh Ghiraiya, Shravan Yadav, Akash Saraf, Vikalp Acharya, Ritesh Roy and Sameer Timalsina have been brought in from the auction.

Sanjok Rana-owned Purveli Super Kings have signed Lalit Rajbanshi, Mohammad Adil Alam, Arjun Gharti, Tritaraj Das, Diwan Pun and Bharat Karki from the draft, while Naren Saud, Rijan Dhakal, Mayan Yadav, Adil Khan, Vishal Patel, Imran Sheikh, Chirag Shah, Deepak Paswan, Sonu Sharma, Abhishek Karki, Mohammad Sameer and Abhishek Sharma have been included in the team from the auction.

Mohammad Seraj Ansari-promoted BN Koshi Arnas has drafted Firdos Ansari, Sujan Thapaliya, Santosh Karki and Bhuwan Karki. Shankar Rana, Bipin Khatri, Himanshu Dutt, Dipesh Shrestha, Shakib Haque, Sumit Shrestha, Kamal Gupta, Lokendra Bahadur Chand, Josak Khadka, Kamaluddin Mian, Shivan Yadav and Afan Tahir have been signed from the auction.

Shahab Alam, Bashir Ahmed, Pawan Saraf, Rashid Khan and Dev Khanal are playing in the Koshi Pride League from Gorkha Avengers. All the players are from the draft. The team has taken Deepak Bohara, Akash Chand, Shubha Kanskar, Durgesh Gupta, Ajay Kumar Chauhan, Uttam Rangu Thapa Magar, Sandeep Bahadur Rajali, Tul Bahadur Thapa, Bikram Khadka, Sandeep Maurya, Raju Bhusal and Raunak Srivastava from the auction.
