Bagmati defeated the defending champion Church Boys United Lalitpur by 2-1 in the match held at the Shahid Smriti Stadium on Sunday. Susan Magar scored for Church Boys in the 11th minute to give the team the lead. For Bagmati, Anish Maharjan scored in the 28th minute of the game and captain Ayush Magar scored through a penalty in the 88th minute.
Maharjan, who scored the first goal for Bagmati, was declared the Player of the Match. He received 10,000 rupees.
Bagmati Youth will now play the winner between Friends Club Lalitpur and Planning Boys United Kathmandu in the semi-finals. The semi-finals of the competition will be held on the 23rd and 24th. The final match will be held on Baisakh 26th.
The winner of the competition will receive 1 million rupees and the runner-up will receive 5 million rupees. The best player will receive Rs 1 lakh 1 thousand and the best in each category will receive Rs 25-25 thousand.
