Sanyog defeated AVM's Rubin Maharjan 8-11, 17-15, 11-9, 6-11, 11-9 in the men's singles final at the National Table Tennis Training Center in Lainchaur on Saturday to win the title. Police's Gananjay Dahal and Vision Table Tennis Academy's Himal Bista finished third.
In the women's singles, nine-time national champion Nabita defeated AVM's Ivana Thapa 11-8, 12-14, 11-6, 7-11, 15-13. AVM's Biyanka Rai and Vision's Yonggi Poudel finished joint third.
In the Veteran Over 40 Men's Singles, Mahesh Shrestha of Kathmandu Metropolitan City Ward 25 came first, Rajkumar Shahi of AVM came second, and Mukesh Maharjan of Ikhachhen and Umesh Manandhar of Kathmandu came third. In the Over 50 Men's Singles, Jaya Maharjan of AVM won gold, Rakta Manandhar of Naxal won silver, and Nadimratna Shakya of Kholcha Pukhu and Rajendra Vajracharya of Ikhachhen won bronze.
In the Veteran Over 60 Men's Singles, Ashok Sharma of Kathmandu-2 came first, Rajan Subba of Hopes came second, and Prakash Dhakwa of Kholcha Pukhu and Sharadman Shrestha of Ikhachhen came third.
In the U-16 Mixed Youth, Arav Malla of AVM came first, Soyam Maharjan of Ikhachhen came second, Suprins Maharjan of Ikhachhen and Nirbhik Shakya of Kholcha Pukhu came third.
The winners of the competition organized by the Kholcha Pukhu Sports Sub-committee under the main sponsorship of Lalitpur Metropolitan City-11 were awarded by Lalitpur Metropolitan City Mayor Chiribabu Maharjan and others. 200 players competed in 6 different events in the two-day competition. The medal winners in all the events received a total prize of Rs. 200,000.
