Eight teams will participate in the first invitational Kanyatar Gold Cup football tournament to be held in Miklajung-6 Kanyatar, Panchthar from 26th Baisakh. Group 'A' includes Tady Sporting Club Morang, Budhabare Youth Club Dhankuta, Mangsebung Rural Municipality Ilam and the host Kanyatar Gold Cup, while Group 'B' includes Triveni Nawayuwa Club Dhankuta, Dhruvatara Sporting Club Jhapa, Dashami Yuva Club Ilam and Rising Star Sporting Club Panchthar.
The first match will be played on 26th Baisakh between Tady Sporting Club and Budhabare Youth Club from Group 'A'. The second match will be played on 27th Baisakh between Triveni Nawayuwa Club and Dhruvatara Sporting Club from Group 'B'. The third match will be played on 28th Baisakh between Mangsebung Rural Municipality and the host team from Group 'A'. The fourth match will be played on 29 Baisakh between Dashami Yuva Club and Rising Star from Group 'B'. Two teams from both groups will advance to the semi-finals.
The final match of the competition will be held on 1 Jestha, informed the organizing chairman Umesh Ghimire. The winner of the competition will receive a prize of 1 lakh 11 thousand 111 and the runner-up team will receive 55 thousand 555 rupees.
