Armed Police Force's APF Football Club has become the champion of the Chandragadhi Women's Gold Cup. APF defeated departmental rival Tribhuvan Army Football Club by a 1-0 goal margin in the final held in Bhadrapur, Jhapa on Monday.

Along with the title, APF received a cash prize of Rs. 1.1 million, a trophy, a medal and a certificate, while the runner-up Army settled for Rs. 500,000. Rashmikumari Ghising scored the decisive goal to give APF the victory. In the 72nd minute of the game, Ghising, who was unmarked inside the box, headed the pass given by captain Anita Basnet.

APF, who controlled the ball throughout the game, created more scoring opportunities but could not increase the score. The Army's attack line was ineffective against APF's strong defense and was limited to the runner-up.

APF's Saru Limbu was named the 'Player of the Match' of the final match. She received a cash prize of Rs. 11,000.

Renuka Nagarkoti of APF was named the best player of the tournament. She received a cash prize of Rs 101,000.
